Indian government recently banned
59 Chinese app including Tik Tok, WeChat, Helo and others. After the clash of Indian
and Chinese army at the border this crucial step has been taken. Not just because
of the clash but also due to safety and security reasons as somehow these 59
apps reportedly compromised of user data and privacy of Indians. You are surly wondering
why “PUBG” is out of this list, well there is a reason of it.
“PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds” worldwide
known as “PUBG”, is not completely Chinese. Shocked, PUBG is created and
managed by Bluehole organization which is South Korean. After gaining
popularity Bluehole collaborate with Tencent (which is a Chinese Multinational
conglomerate company) to market the product in China and hence they get large
proportion of the game's distribution. Now both South Korea and China handling
the game.
Similarly “Call of Duty” is out
of the list. As this game is also not completely Chinese. The game was developed
by an American company named Activision Blizzard which is holding hands with Tencent
Game (the Chinese company who is collaborated with PUBG as well). This is also
a mixed ownership that is why call of duty is also out of the list.
Because of the mixed ownership
the game “PUBG” and “Call of Duty” is not ban in India as it is not completely Chinese.
So it’s a relief for game lovers that their favorite PUBG is out of the list
but who knows what will happen next. For now enjoy the game and stay safe.
